Holmes: Experience and fiscal responsibility

To the Editor:

I urge the residents of Arden Hills to re-elect Fran Holmes to the city council. Our council needs Fran Holmes, a strategic decision-maker who makes sound decisions for our city with input from the residents. Fran has been on our council for 12 years and a resident of Arden Hills for 30 years. She understands our city, listens to the residents and knows how to get things done. As a fiscal conservative, she works hard to keep city taxes as some of the lowest in the metropolitan area. She promotes active lifestyles in the city with a walkable and bike-friendly community, and advocates for residents of all ages and backgrounds. Her support of business has brought in new and expanding businesses to our city.

At this time, when Arden Hills is continuing its planning for TCAAP/Rice Creek Commons, Fran's experience on the city council is invaluable. She understands the background of the project, what is at stake, and the issues involved. She is committed to a Rice Creek Commons/TCAAP development that will be first class and a true asset for Arden Hills. She is planning fiscally responsible and sustainable goals for TCAAP/Rice Creek Commons and will keep expenses for the development and on-going maintenance low to minimize the tax impact for our residents.

Please join me in voting for Fran Holmes for the Arden Hills City Council!
