Since a chaotic Feb. 18 shooting, Maplewood City Council members have received numerous concerns and complaints about Stargate Bar & Nightclub from residents of Maplewood, Roseville and St. Paul. The club’s location at Rice Street and Larpenteur Avenue places it near the intersection of the three cities.
North St. Paul’s turbine is a smaller turbine than commonly used on wind farms, but it has the capability to produce about 160 kilowatts of energy in each hour, which is enough to power about 60 to 80 homes.

Bruce Fisher, a board member for the North St. Paul Historical Society, explained that one of the buildings was parallel to the Soo Line railroad tracks and had the railcars go right into the building to make loading and unloading easier. The tracks are still there today, although they can’t be seen because they have been paved over.
