Local students re-elected to Minnesota Youth Council
A few weeks before the start of school, 36 students from around the state were already hard at work at a weekend retreat planning for the upcoming legislative session.

The Mounds View High School dance team added to the school's list of winter state-tournament entries when it competed in the jazz division state meet on Feb. 13 at Target Center. The Viewettes were one of 12 teams to qualify for the Class AAA state event.
In winning only five games last season, the St. Anthony Village High School boys basketball team suffered through some growing pains while going with a young lineup. The Huskies are hoping to have learned from those trials and tribulations and can put that education to use this season.
With eight sophomores seeing significant varsity time a year ago, the Irondale/St. Anthony Village boys hockey team took its lumps. The Knights won only three games last season, but head coach Adam Schmidt is expecting that experience work in his team's favor soon.
Heading into its game last week against St. Anthony Village, the Concordia Academy football team had lost its last four games to the Huskies. The Beacons have a similar history with this week's opponent.
