The end of the year means cities finalize their budgets for the coming year. At its Dec. 4 meeting, the South St. Paul City Council approved its 2018 budget and property tax levy, as well as the city’s 2018-2022 capital improvement plan.

The South St. Paul City Council was applauded Oct. 2 when it unanimously voted to revoke the rental license for a duplex that was the scene of the drive-by shooting in August.

Monday night shooting in South St. Paul injures two

Around 9 p.m. on Aug. 28, South St. Paul police returned to an area they had been at only an hour earlier, this time on a report of shots fired. They found two people who'd been shot at the scene.
