St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in St. Anthony was one of three schools honored at the Minnesota Twins game on Sept. 8.
The Wasson Humanitarian Award will be given to Rose Schaffhausen, of Cherrywood Pointe in Roseville, for her fundraising and care to children of poverty, abandonment and neglect in nine Latin American and Caribbean countries.

While Boy Scout troops traditionally have only one or two members attain the rank of Eagle Scout each year, Shoreview-based Troop 9626 recently celebrated five newly minted Eagle Scouts with a joint ceremony on Aug. 6.
