Visitation sophomore Jaycee Rhodes won the Section 4AA Golf Tournament and helped the Visitation Blazers qualify for the Class AA State Tournament held at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, Minnesota on June 12 to 13.

A few years ago, the Minnesota State High School League moved its state golf tournaments a week later in June. This year’s tournaments were held June 14-15 and three Review-area students participated.

For the third straight year, the Mounds View High School girls golf team is represented at the state tournament. For the second time in three years, the Mustangs made state as a team.
Two of the three Review-area high schools have individuals competing in the state golf tournaments this week. Hill-Murray is sending a boy and a girl to the Class AA tournament while North had one boy qualify in Class AAA.
The Hill-Murray boys golf team enters the 2016 season as the defending Metro East Conference champion. The Pioneers return only two letter winners from last year’s squad so there are some unknowns this spring.
