Moller in her own words

To the Editor:

Because you've likely been inundated with mail and ads against me, I'd like to respond with the truth and explain why I want to be your state representative in District 42A. I've had the opportunity to meet thousands of you. You've shared your personal stories with me, many of which involve difficulties surrounding our health care system. You've told me how you're concerned for the future of your children and grandchildren. You've expressed your frustration over the current political environment.

I have heard you. As your state representative, I'll fight to maintain coverage for pre-existing conditions and for transparency in health care costs, and I'll support allowing more Minnesotans to purchase MinnesotaCare. I'll work for gun violence prevention, starting with universal background checks on all gun purchases. I'll strive for an education system that meets the needs of all our students and teachers. I'll fight for clean water and clean air. I'll look for partners across the aisle who are willing to address these issues, as well as other issues like distracted driving, the opioid crisis and senior safety.

For the last 20 years as a prosecutor and victim rights advocate, I've heard countless stories from victims and survivors of crime. I've helped amplify their voices while also making sure justice is served. As a mother with two children who attend Mounds View Public Schools, I'm deeply connected to our community.

Please vote for me on Nov. 6 so I can get to work amplifying your voice at the Capitol.

Kelly Moller

Candidate for House
